Raleigh has been named America’s best city by and America’s safest city and one of the best places to do business by  It is consistently rated among the best places to live and work in the United States.  Many of the United States’ leading Fortune 500 technology, research, and pharmaceutical companies are located nearby in the Research Triangle Park (RTP).  This dynamic city offers a vibrant cultural scene, international restaurants, sporting events, and a moderate temperature with all four seasons (average: high 21 degrees Celsius, low 8 degrees Celsius).  Raleigh is conveniently located two hours from both the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains, which makes weekend trips easy and accessible.
